Hello and welcome to the new Poker Sharks Blog.  I think you’ll agree it looks much better than the old one; from my point of view its also much easier to update and manage which is nice.

I’ve switched over from my original Blogger account to WordPress for those in the know about blogs.  Any of you out there thinking of starting a Blog I can highly reccomend WordPress.  Blogger have been recently brought by Google so there are a lot of changes happening and it’s improving a lot – problem is the current changes means i can’t import the old posts to this blog – great stuff.  I’m kinda liking the fresh start though so I’m not missing them just yet.

Now I have all this new functionality and i really like the look and feel of this Blog I’m going to start using it a bit more often than the old one.  I was never too motivated before as I wasn’t particularily proud of how it looked and after many an hour trying and failing miserably to change this I gave up, until now.

It wont just be Poker Sharks related either, there will be a few of Lynx’s Random Ramblings for those that are interested.  Nothing too heavy, just me thinking aloud probably, havent really decided but I hope a few of you will enjoy them.  If i manage to actually write something worthwhile and half interesting (longshot i know), we may gain a few extra Poker Shark players via the blog which will be a massive bonus.

Back to business, the poker room is nearly there now.  For those that dont know you can play the beta testing version here, I’ll be sending an email round to everyone soon to get a few more peoples views.  The feedback so far has been excellent, and its shaping up to be a fantastic addition.  I’m itching to play on it with my real ingame chips as much as anyone now – its at times like this i actually realise how unique the site will be as there is no other site where the play money tables actually mean anything – just full of allin-muppets and kids-that-think-saying-fcuk-is-a-sign-of-intelligence type players.  Also, playing poker competitively without having any money directly involved takes the danger away so people will be able to relax and play freely - can’t wait. 

If all goes to plan Season 4 will be starting in around 3 weeks time, meaning around November (translation – nearer December).

Wow, i’ve just taken this blogs cherry and now the lovely new layout actually has some content to fill that gulf of white space.  I have a weird sense of achievment for some reason?
