Well it's that time again and as always I have some things to announce for the coming Season:
Poker Skill Changes:
The level 1 score for a Straight Flush is being reduced from 2000 to 1750
The level 1 score for a Royal Flush is being reduced from 2500 to 2000
The gap between these 2 top poker skills were always a long way away from the other poker skills and this has brought them in closer. There is still a big advantage by going for a Royal flush you still get 100% more than someone that gets a Fullhouse. The reward isn't as high as it used to be, but is still high enough to make it worth the risk to go for.
Poker Room Poker Skill changes
Ability is being increased from 1 poker skill for every 10 chips won, up to 5 poker skill for every poker skill won.
Experience is being increased from 1 poker skill for every hand played, up to 3 poker skill for every hand played.
This is to reward the players that spend hours in the poker room and further rewarding the players that do well and win chips.
Poker Room Changes
There will be no more 3 day wait for the poker room, so we can play from day 1.
(this may not be live for day 1 of season 6 but we're working on it)
A 50,000 chip over draft for the poker room. This will mean early on in the season when chips are short you can go to -50,000 in chips so you can keep playing. This will mean if you have minus chips you won't be able to buy anything in the main game until you are back in the positives. So you either need to win those chips back, or wait for your job to bail you out in wages.
The new Poker Room! We plan to launch the brand new poker room mid Season 6 that will be bug free and glitch free. This will allow us to have tournaments and even a live WPSS with hundreds of players all in the same tournament. There is still alot of work to be done and we're burning the candle at both ends to get this finished.
Some AI players will be introduced. Just to get the rooms going we will have some Computer players playing in a few of the rooms so at anytime players can get a few hands in. Quite often once 1 or 2 people sit down they are soon joined by a few more. Once there are 3 or more real players at a table the computer player will leave.
Naming your own Poker Table will be available. For those that want to have their very own poker sharks poker table you can now buy one. This is a great way to personalise poker sharks to you plus support the Poker Sharks. Every single improvement here has come from a players sugestion. I'd love to take all the credit but ultimately it is you, the players, that have asked for these changes - im just doing as im told.
I'll continue to listen and improve Poker Sharks for the better season by season, for as long as the suggestions keep coming in.
